Poultry feet scalder

The poultry feet scalder is a machine that steams poultry feet in water at a specific temperature.

The process of steaming loosens the skins of poultry feet, making it easier to remove them in the foot cleaner. 

Operation:

Feet drop into a hopper at the beginning of the scalder directly from the foot unloader or from a conveyor.

They then enter the hot water, where the skin is steamed, making it easier to remove later.

A screw conveyor moves the feet to the end of the scalder at a controlled speed to achieve the optimal scalding time.

The screw conveyor is equipped with three perforated blades that eject the feet from the tank.

When the water level is low, a refill vessel opens the inlet valve to maintain a constant liquid level in the tank.

The water temperature in the steamer is automatically controlled using an electric valve, controller, and temperature sensor.

The temperature of the system is maintained by a heating jacket that is supplied with hot water in a closed circuit.

At the end of the scalder, a slide may be installed depending on the configuration to help feed the feet precisely.
